The message of “ADVANCE Hispanic Women in STEM” continues at national conferences in June 2015. #STEM @CienciaPR

Although the NSF’s funding for the ADVANCE Hispanic Women in STEM project has ended its cycle, the messages from the project is being shared at national conferences: Career-life balance,  importance of attention to family, negotiation, networking, and research dissemination.  Contributors to papers and presentations include the following:

ADVANCE AWIS – Association of Women in Science Meeting, Baltimore, MD, June 2015: Dr. Beatriz Zayas (UMET)

WEPAN – Women in Engineering ProActive Network, Broomfield, CO, June 2015: Dr. Cristina Pomales (UPRM), Dr. Patricia Ordonez (UPRR), Dr. Beatriz Zayas (UMET), Dr. Renetta Tull (UMBC). This panel was developed by UMBC’s Dr. Autumn Reed, who is part of the ADVANCE team at UMBC within the Office of the Provost.
